Diane Kruger (born July 15, 1976 in Algermissen as Diane Heidkrüger) is a German actress, appearing mostly in English-and French-language films. She is known primarily as Helen of Troy (2004), Dr. Abigail Chase in National Treasure of the Knights Templar (2004) and The Book of Secrets (2007) as well as Bridget von Hammersmark in Inglourious Basterds (2009).

Kruger went through the tenth grade high school Josephinum at Hildesheim. She also attended the Hildesheimer Freese-Baus ballet school, teaching children's ballet and passed several tests.
